Aw, c'mon. It's the Incredible Hulk Xmas Jubilee, with the Animated Land-of-the-Lost Family (pictured - Holly).Doesn't everyone know this?!
A moment ago I was sure that was the long-lost second Star Wars Christmas special, specifically the "animated Yoda celebrates Christmas on Dagobah" scene, but now I'm equally sure Splotchy is right. Good catch!
Sure, Splotchy can make ironic hipster jokes implying that EVERYONE knows the title, but the fact is he's too young to be familiar with this, and instead thinks of that Jim Carey abomination as being the "real" Grinch. How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Wow, this is perhaps my all time favorite special from when I was a kid. Chuck Jones animation (dig those HUGE eyes!) and Boris Karloff narrating! I used to love singing the Grinch song to my kids.
Actually, replace the name "Grinch" with "Jew" and you have a pretty effective piece of racist propaganda. Is it a coincidence that the people of who-ville are all blonde, pert-nosed blindly happy people?Or that the "grinch" is the color of greed and money?Seriously. Make it into a game. When you are watching the Jim Carrey version, change the word to Jew and see what happens. If you can stomach the Carrey version ever again, that is....
Splotchy-LOL! Now that's a Christmas special I must see!RAB-Hmmm what's Yoda going to do to that poor young girl? (insert lightsaber joke here)Bubs-Sibling rivalry at it's best! I bet family dinners are lots of laughs!I share your love of Chuck Jones he's a god in this house right up there with Tex Avery. Anothe great piece of Grinch trivia...that song is sung by Thurl ravenscroft the guy who did the voice of Tony the Tiger...he's GREAT!Allen-Oh wow that's too scary I've never heard that before but god it fits. Did you know Yertle the Turtle was representative of Hitler and the Third Reich...weird.Of course The Lorax was supposedly a parable on short-sighted exploitation of natural resources and Sneetches dealt with racism. In any case he was the son of German immigrants so the potential for racism is there but then again he was made an honorary jew by the mayor of Jerusalem in 1969...so I don't know...I'll never think of The Grinch the same way again.
I thought that was the whole point of the so-called War on Christmas; Jewish businesses promoting materialism over focus on Christian content. Was I wrong?(Kidding, kidding.)
